About Us

About Us

Playball Allstars is a family run franchise owned/ operated by Eric and Abbie McBrayer. We have three children who love sports and enjoy helping out with our summer camps while they are not in school. We began Playball in 2006. We coach roughly 250 kids per week and consider each child to be a unique individual and treat them accordingly.

PLAYBALL IS A SPORTS PROGRAM.

We are sports coaches.

What makes Playball so special?

PLAYBALL is Progressive

Children progress from an informal introduction to ball and motor skills, to more structured sports participation.  Our curriculum for the 2-6 year olds focuses on motor development and motor skills.  At PLAYBALL, children learn the basics for baseball, basketball, field hockey, soccer, tennis and volleyball.

PLAYBALL is Educational & Outcome-Based

Each stage includes defined age-specific objectives which are realized within the course of the year.  Small teacher-student ratios ensure adequate individual attention and an excellent learning environment.  Positive coaching methods are used to develop life skills such as self-confidence, courage and concentration.

PLAYBALL is International & Specialized

A research and development team has refined the program over a period of over 20 years and is continually upgrading the content of all lesson plans.  Coaches are trained quarterly and use specialized coaching methods and specially designed sporting equipment.  PLAYBALL currently operates in over 13 countries proving its world-wide success.

PLAYBALL is Well-Rounded & Fun

PLAYBALL was created to suit the needs and abilities of ALL children - to give them the confidence to participate in all activities both on and off the field.  The classes have an impressive creative component that ensures each lesson is both exciting and positive.

PLAYBALL uses sports as a medium to teach life skills.

Lessons are structured, age appropriate and progressive.  We give students the opportunity for personal success in a safe and nurturing environment. They are able to take risks and try new skills that are introduced and taught in a way to ensure their development.

I became a Playball coach because it is so much fun.  I  watched my own children blossom and have so much fun in the past in Playball classes.  I saw their confidence, courage and perceptual motor ability improve.  They  learned sportsmanship, persistence and co-operation.  I have always had a passion for working with young children and Playball  has given me the opportunity and venue to teach and coach a wide variety of abilities and age groups.  I am truly grateful for each child that comes into one of my Playball classes. --Abbie McBrayer

I became a Playball coach because I wanted to make a DIFFERENCE in my community.   There is no better way to do that than by working with children.  I have a passion for sports. I serve in volunteer positions for my community swim team and North Gwinnet Basketball Association. In seeing my own children blossom in Playball, I knew that I would be a Playball coach, giving the gift of confidence, sportsmanship and competence in sports to other children in my community. --Eric McBrayer
